Flagstaff Climate Challenges
Flagstaff sits at approximately 7,000 feet elevation — a fundamentally different gutter climate than the valley. Heavy winter snowfall, ice dam formation, and aggressive freeze-thaw cycles that expand and contract every joint are the primary failure modes. This is a mountain climate, not a desert climate, and installers who don't understand the difference install systems that fail in the first winter.
Flagstaff also receives substantial summer monsoon rainfall — often more than Phoenix in absolute terms, because the mountains capture storm cells. Our Flagstaff installations use heavy-gauge aluminum with commercial-grade hangers rated for snow load, oversized downspouts for monsoon flow, and provisions for heat cable where ice dams form on north-facing exposures.

Tucson's monsoon season brings intense concentrated rainfall with its own distinct local storm patterns. Tucson sits at a higher elevation than Phoenix — around 2,400 feet — and receives a meaningful portion of its annual rainfall from winter Pacific storms in addition to summer monsoon.
Tucson is underserved by quality gutter contractors. The market has a large inventory of historic and heritage-architecture homes — Spanish Colonial Revival, Mission Revival, Territorial, and Adobe styles — where premium gutter work matters enormously.
